The rugs of Windhorse Gallery are in keeping with the favoured traditional Tibetan folk art of carpet weaving. All are hand-made on looms by Tibetan refugees with natural vegetable dyes, and 100% Himalayan wool. This, in addition to the 100 knot weave give Tibetan rugs their unique thick and plush texture. The designs range from Buddhist images to traditional cultural motifs.
